Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Nov 29, 2015 2:26 pm Looking for some suggestions on setting up downfall for drainage. We are looking a laying down 600x600x20 pavers to an area approximately 14x3.6m (50sqm) So I didn't go by the saying of measure twice and setup my retaining wall to approx the same height as my house which leave me no room for any down fall into the garden beds. Re: Suggestions for paving and drainage? 3Nov 29, 2015 6:06 pm bashworth One option is one of these drains: http://www.everhard.com.au/outside_the_ ... mer-grate/ Yep was looking at these which require a fall. If I installed a channel drain it would need to be dead level. I am looking at Aco drains http://www.acodrain.com.au/klassikdrain/k100/index.htm they are presloped so water doesn't sit in the channel. My concern is if I run the fall back towards the house would this be a problem? Obviously if the area floods water would build up near the foundation. Re: Suggestions for paving and drainage? 4Nov 29, 2015 8:24 pm I would never slope the paving towards the house. . . . why risk damaging the foundation of your house. Re: Suggestions for paving and drainage? 5Nov 29, 2015 8:34 pm I've installed over 30 metres of Everhard, and it works well. Another option is RELN, and they offer different sizes for various flow levels. http://www.reln.com.au.ds015.imagri.com.au/Products/Surface_Water_Drainage Reln seems to offer more accessories, e.g. pits etc. Prices for each differ depending on the "big" store you choose. Setting up little pads underneath using bags of concrete can help. Just double check the fall is correct before it sets. Thanks, I've looked at both products but the installation recommends the channel to be installed with a fall of 30cm for every 20meters. Hence why I have chosen the pre sloped channel drains.
