Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jul 10, 2015 7:39 pm Hi All, I have just bought some 400x400 pavers for laying down the side of the home like stepping stones. My partner and I were planning of having them run down the side with pebble's as a fill. I'm worried about the current condition of the clay soil, even though i am going to cement the pavers down, I have a feeling the clay would move thus making my level pavers a waste of time. I currently have 2 ton of 10mm river pebbles out in the driveway to add once done. Today we have had some rain and the side is very muddy. Should I order a sand type compound to the ground and then compact it to help with it always getting muddy? or should I lay down some road-base and compact that instead? Here are some photos of what it looks like. Please someone help ! I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7936 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12524 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7170 |
