Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 09, 2015 12:15 am I was hoping someone had some advice to remove staining from our aggregate driveway. Hubby put sprinkled weed and feed over the lawn today and when we watered it in is left horrible orange/yellow staining all over our drive and pathway. We have pressure hosed it as bet we could and has helped somewhat but I am still devastated with the stains. Will time fade it? Has anyone else had this happen? I tried to sprinkle some bicarb soda and scrub, it may have helped a little..... So annoyed!!! Re: Help! Staining on aggregate driveway 2Mar 09, 2015 7:51 am I presume you have a Gerni or one of the other sorts of pressure washer, then mix up more of the bicarb mix and pressure wash the concrete with that rather than just water. Or any other type of neutral kind of cleaner. I think Bunnings have a couple of cleaning compounds designed to just clean concrete too. Stewie Re: Help! Staining on aggregate driveway 4Mar 11, 2015 2:49 pm a few things you can do. 10 : 1 ration bleach applied with a water can, let it soak in and then high pressure clean 10 : 1 hydro acid appliedwith water can, let it soak in and then high pressure clean but the acid can do damage if not applied correctly application of a timber deck cleaner as per manufactures instructions, i use this on some stone paving with great results, rinse thouroughly though and it can also react with diffent types of metals so be carful dont use a thinner or solvent as this will damage the sealer / remove the sealer on your concrete for hard to remove stains on moisture sensitive stone i use bicarb soda with a little vinager but this isnt so convenient on concrete in large areas Da Vinci Outdoor Living Architectural landscaping http://www.davincioutdoor.com Hi, I have an area of zincalume cladding encasing a number of external downpipes.
