Browse Forums Paving & Concreting Re: Cromelin, getnewlook or Miteq concrete sealers 9Sep 25, 2014 3:55 pm Not many if any sealers will last 3 years and all topical sealers on the market should be removed before another application is due . You would not peel over flaky paint would you ? its the same with exterior sealers which is why semi penetrating such as our SmartSeal sealers are so good . The reason we seal every year is mostly due to UV which is very harsh in Australia and worse in New Zealand . We recommend re-sealing decorative jobs every 1-2 years as it is much easier to maintain seal than colour . In the case of Smartseal the procedure for resealing is water blast clean and then apply another coat . We dont really make a wet look sealer as such more so a gloss sealer with 25% solids or 34% any more and the surface becomes slippery which is one disadvantage of most wet look sealers . Feel free to ask me any questions or pull a technical sheet from my website www.getnewlook.com.au Jas To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9858 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10939 |
