Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Aug 17, 2014 11:39 am Hi folks. We're halfway through our construction. The builder poured a slab for our garage and another for the house, then built and fitted out the garage as a 2 bedroom house while we get money together to build the big house. So I've been looking at the house slab for a few years now... I've noticed that on cooler mornings dew wets a neat perimeter about 800 wide around the slab. I saw the site before the concrete was placed while the hydronics team were fixing pipe to the mesh, and know there is plastic right to the edges. Just wondering why the dew would form so consistently. I understand that this perimeter must be cooler than the centre, but what would cause dew to be so uniform? We had a falling out with the original builder so will be engaging someone else to put up the big house. Has anyone seen this before and can anybody offer an explanation? i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits. There's only one… 7 12711 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12458 All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file. Cheers. 1 3657 |
