Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 12, 2014 3:03 pm Hi everyone, I have a question for those who has done this before. I'm trying to install exposed aggregate at the same level as the interior of the house to create a nicer flow between inside and outside area but was told that this is not possible due to BCA/council requirement. Upon researching on the topic, seems like the issue is about termite barrier requirement to have an inspection gap around the concrete slab. I called a few exposed aggregate installer and ask them if they have done this sort of installation and was informed that they've done a few and the owner is willing to take the risk regarding the termite barrier. My question is, since I haven't started building yet, is there any way to get around the termite barrier requirement before the slab is poured? Maybe by using a different method of termite barrier?
