Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Apr 25, 2013 7:10 pm Needing help please. I have been told that we need .75 cubic metres of concrete for the foundation of a small wall we are building. Can anyone please tell me what quantities I would need of sand, cement and bluemetal. Also when mixing how many shovels of each are needed to make the mix for a foundation? Here in WA we can buy bluemetal and sand by the bobcat scoop in the landscaping yards, so would like to know how many to get of each. Obviously being a small quantity it is not cost effective to get it delivered in a concrete truck. You don't say how big the bobcat bucket is but this link gives a good idea of the proportions http://www.anewhouse.com.au/?p=1319 You are probably looking at around 0.5m3 of bluemetal and about 0.4m3 of sand The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! When you say ready mix do you mean delivered in a truck or do you mean the ready mix stuff in bags? (sorry for my ignorance, im female, hence I have no idea how big the bucket is, I didnt realise they came in different sizes lol) Slab Poured 30/05/12 Lower Floor Plate High 20/08/12 Upper Floor & Wall Framing 30/08/12 Roof 14/09/12 Lock-Up 13/12/12 Yee haaaaa WE ARE IN & I HAVE A NEW IPHONE Re: CONCRETE BRICKIE HELP QUANTITIES OF SAND, BLUEMETAL, CEM 4Apr 25, 2013 7:53 pm By ready mix I mean a truck mixer. lots of companies do minimix trucks which can deliver small quantities of up to 1m3 The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! (it will come sand and metal mixed to proportion) concrete is about 2.4t per m3 wich gives you a bit of a guide to how much material you will need to order.
