Asphalt or bitumen driveway

A bitumen driveway is rarely seen in Perths suburbs. however they are common on commercial/government sites - particularly for walk ways. What are the pros/cons of them compared to the usual concrete or paved driveway?
Hi dexx,

I had a mate of mine lay a bitumen/Ashphelt driveway in a new sub division, the pros were price and also that it would not Crack like concrete. It was a bit cheaper than concrete but the cons were when it would heat up on a 40 degree day , it would sweat dirty black tar onto your car tyres and shoes.
