Honed is less grinding but the surface is hardened, dustfree and stain resistant.

Ah right, $1500 is less than I expected for a stain-resistant surface

Looking at the same thing but the Mrs is worried it will be slippery 2 Re: Garage floor sealing 23Jan 05, 2013 9:24 pm Not at all slippery, but its not wet. I believe you might be able to mix in something for anti-slip...if anything contact the DyMark company to confirm. Re: Garage floor sealing 24Jan 06, 2013 9:11 pm Cool thanks, I'll contact them and ask about and anti slip additive for when it is wet. My wife was just worried it might be slippery straight away Re: Garage floor sealing 25Jan 20, 2013 7:48 pm Any feedback on Crommelin DiamondCoat sealer for aggregate driveway? Is it any good? Re: Garage floor sealing 26Jan 31, 2013 9:02 am Penetrating sealers are better IMHO than topical surface treatments requiring further maintenance. But you don't get the 10 minute shine with penetrating sealer,... though do get stain resistance and a well increase service life. Like I said IMHO only. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Garage floor sealing 27Jan 31, 2013 10:16 am Love the look of the garage floor, that is exactly what I am looking to do, I have seen a product from Dulux in Bunnings which you seal and add the chips to look like exposed agg. Has anyone used the Dulux product? and if so which one would you recommend, I think from memory it was around $230. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Hi, CC101. Unfortunately we didn't get this far just yet... Our PCI is next week... Probably will go either for Dulux or Cromelin... Re: Garage floor sealing 31Sep 15, 2015 12:29 pm In terms of the Bondall product, whatever you do, don't use their Drive On Paving paint. It has some good points, it sticks well to concrete, you can drive and walk on it ok, but the minute you park your car on it for a day or so, tyre marks are left that you can't readily clean off. Can't comment on their garage paint, but the Drive on stuff is a waste of money. Re: Garage floor sealing 32Sep 15, 2015 5:49 pm The dymark epoxy has come off where the cars have been parked in less than 6 months of getting it applied. I would not recommend it. I should have used a penetrative paint of some kind... You should look into high-solids epoxies which have much better adhesion and will wear much better over time. Honed is less grinding but the surface is hardened, dustfree and stain resistant. Full polished concrete at around 135$ sq mtr plus. pattern is the aggregate ground and polished NO CLEAR COAT or you have to recoat it and I'm not one for unnecessary maintenance Could you do that on a plain coloured concrete driveway? Off topic but what do you recommend as the best option for a driveway in terms of looks (contemporary build), slip resistance and maintenance, cost etc? My husband really wants aggregate but it's quite expensive. You're the resident concrete expert so thought I would ask.. Custom knockdown rebuild Newcastle NSW viewtopic.php?t=78271 Re: Garage floor sealing 36Mar 25, 2016 10:33 am Cost me $1600 to put down 6mm heavy duty PVC tiles in a 37m2 garage. I can replace single tiles easily if/when required otherwise the only maintenance is a sweep once a week. Much better IMHO than painting the floor and having an ongoing maintenance issue Re: Garage floor sealing 37Apr 27, 2016 9:40 pm My husband and I have coated both our 63 sqm shed over the Easter weekend and on the ANZAC weekend our 45 sqm garage. The prep is the key and he spent the weekend prior cleaning and etching (hydrochloric acid) the floor. Fortunately our floor was only used as storage and parking my car so no oil residue, etc... to clean up. There was some paint, glue, etc... from the builders, but that came off with the pressure washer prior to etching. We thinned our fist coat to use as a primer, then a base coat (Colour is Wombat), followed by flakes and then 2 coats of polyurethane. The flakes give it a slight slip resistance. Since it's only used as a garage this will only need swept and moped (when required, but my husband is OCD so probably often) with no further maintenance. If it was used as a working garage it may need a re-coat of poly depending on the abuse, but that would be years away. My husband said the 2nd coat of poly is the 'sacrificial coat'. The benefit of aliphatic poly is if you need to re-coat all you do is sand, solvent wipe and coat. It's also very resistant to chemicals, stains, UV and retains its high gloss. Post cleaning & etching. It wasn't a nice feeling as we went from smooth concrete to feeling like rough sandpaper. It's got a strong odor so we completely sealed the door going into the house.
