Concreting around the drain

I was wondering how to make a cylindrical concrete around the drain like the one in the picture? Is there a specialised mold for this?

Cheers!

You can buy them off the shelf , try plumbing outlet. Used for sewer gullys so they are higher than surrounding area
Thanks! Didn't think of it's a finished product readily available off the shelf.

Rang up a plumbing supplier and they know straightway what I'm after, apparently it's called finishing collar, available with a crate top or screw trap. About $20 each.

Very convenient, but not in my case, because both the crate top and screw trap are already there, I just need the concrete bits.

From what I can see, will need to dig around the existing fitting, cut the top off, install coupling and then the new finishing collar.

Sounds like a lot of work for a simple addition. I guess an alternative is just to find something round and use it as the mold.

They lift off

Do you mean the new ones from shop can separate? Or existing ones on the ground are supposed to be able to lift off?

If not, how can I fit it when the top is larger?

the one in the ground will slip up with a bit of effort.
Interesting, I will have to take a closer look this weekend.

But aren't they supposed to glue it? Otherwise what the point of a screw trap cover?
