I have an area on the driveway that collects a pool of water when it rains. Maximum about 5mm deep.
Seeing how spilled concrete slurry sticks sometimes on other concrete when I'm working with it I thought I can perhaps fill the hollow by mixing up a slurry and spreading it on - a kind of deliberate 'spill'.
But I wonder what the best recipe for it would be?
If mortar, which would be too crumbly, is cement/sand 1:3, which way do I need to go to get a better mix for my purposes? More cement I'm thinking seems obvious. The more sand the more it'll crumble seems to me.
So would 1:1 be too much? Anyone got any ideas?
I've certainly had some 'clingy' spills from my mixer in the past. Lumps of dried spill I have to bash with a fencing bar to get down and even then it never just flakes off but just gets pounded down to somewhere near the level. So that's the kinda mix I'm after. But that was a slurry built up inside the mixer after numerous mixes. Don't exactly know the composition.
