Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 29, 2012 7:12 pm Hi all, I am new to this forum, bit frustrated with a recent quote, so out searching for info. Any ideas on typical paving costs to pave a 1.6m perimeter around a rectangular pool. Large format ( 800 X 400 ) granite and want it on a mortar base over concrete base. ( pavers and pool coping $3600 ) All up about 50sm, no steps, pretty standard. ( I would imagine ) Thanks in advance Mo Re: Average Paving costs 2Apr 01, 2012 8:54 am Hi Mo, To lay the concrete base anywhere from $35-$ 50 per m2 To cement on pool coping $35-$40 per Lineal meter and to cement on a wet mortar i would charge about $ 80 per m2. I have used the same size pavers on a recent job, They are a heavy product and nightmare to cut.Laying on concrete and mortar is a slow process, but will give you the best finish. This all helps contribute to cost Being a natural product it will have variations, and with motar variation will be minimal. I have laid these on a sand base before and still got a great finish, also to lay on sand should cost around $ 35 - $ 45 Total. Hope this helps Brett Bonita Stone Paving Products http://www.bonitastone.com.au Re: Average Paving costs 3Apr 03, 2012 10:49 am Brett, thanks for the reply, a couple of questions "To lay the concrete base anywhere from $35-$ 50 per m2" is this just the labor ? If we went with the sand option, would that be best over concrete ? Have also heard about using crusher ( rock ) dust mixed with cement as a base over concrete, any views on this ? Thanks for your time and what area do you service, we are in Outer South East ( Pakenham ) Regards Mo Re: Average Paving costs 4Apr 07, 2012 3:44 pm Sorry Mo But im in Perth. If you were still to put down the concrete base i dont think i would use cracker dust. I would use plasterers sand or white wash it will have a little bit of give in it to get rid of any variations in the paver. The cracker dust dosnt give much. 35-50 for concrete, should be supplied as well.U would only need 80mm plain grey , screeded( no need to float it off) . Depending on your meterage there could be a min charge.
