Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 22, 2012 5:21 pm As last posts on average slab prices seem to be about 2009 vintage, can I have some info on current prices/m2 for an engineered garage slab please? Summary details: Dimensions: 15m long x 4.3m wide Concrete: 32MPa Slab: 110mm min. thickness, reo to have min. 40mm cover Perimeter beams all round, 300 wide x 400 deep (inc. slab thickness) Beams are reinforced with tied bars 3 keyed joints equidistant across slab (i.e. at about 3.5m spacings) Subgrade to be compacted in accordance with AS1289 E1.1, with 50mm sand blinding and polythene sheet Location: Wollongong NSW TIA Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 11464 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors.
