Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Nov 06, 2011 8:10 pm I have a small court yard for my new house I am building with a alfresco area and pool. About 120 meters. I have purchased 600 x 600 x 20mm Marble from China. (slippery when wet yes I know) I thought the best way to lay the marble would be to concrete first, fall away to a stainless grate drain and lay the marble with tile glue. Ant thoughts would this be the best way to do it and if so what thickness concrete. Is mesh required? Re: Marble on concrete??? 2Nov 06, 2011 8:35 pm I would think you would need a good base so concrete seems good. If it was me I would be laying it 100mm thick and putting reinforcement in the keep the cracks to a minimum The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: Marble on concrete??? 3Dec 08, 2011 6:53 am Concrete will work, just make sure you don't have any air pockets under the marble. There are holes in the grout, really… 0 4585 To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9802 |
