They are now at the point of builing and I'm trying to find out how they put down a P class slab as opposed to the usual waffle pod slab included in most builds. From what I have read, the waffle pod includes the foam layer in the concrete slab. Does the P class include this as well? Any help would be much appreciated. Re: P Class Slab - what is involved in laying 2Oct 26, 2011 3:10 pm Ive seen P sites with 100mm polystyrene sheets laid onto the plastic membrane and then the 300mm waffle pods laid on top of them. the slab was completely isolated from the ground, it rested entirely on the polystyrene and piers, lots of them. P class waffles are mostly the same as a H class, just with upgraded steel and concrete thicknesses. Each site is unique tho, as are engineers, who knows what you will end up with.
