LOL....It looks cool hey!
It is approx 50Sq Mtrs area and worked out to $80 Sq.
It is poured like nomal concrete and the bottom colour is sprinkled over to make a solid colour. They then use the stencils of timber and press them inddividually when the concrete is half set. The individually press the bolt holes etc. Then they sprinkle the top colour over and leave overnight and come back and wash a lot of the top colour off which gives the wood grain.
Then two coats of seal and two hours later all done and ready.

Looks great - we have a footbridge near here done the same.
You didn't have the height (300mm minimum) for a timber deck anyway.
Its a problem with most new houses built on concrete slabs close to the ground.

I am so impressed with this!!!
I have to say that is a job well done by the guys who did it, I can’t see a floor (mistake) in it.
Stamped concrete to the max I say! Way to go looks great!!!!
AND….everyone is happy.

You might want to blow that sunset photo up you took, top photo!
Get it block mounted that would make a show piece.
Other than that some nice artwork could go down nice.

Tam, I'm most disappointed in you!
How could you just go and do that without first having a big extended conflab here about the possible virtues of this surface, and comparing a range of other options. Surely we could have had an 8 page thread on the topic.
But no, you've gotta go off and do your own thing without consulting us all. Feeling most redundant now!
