Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 4May 29, 2011 9:53 pm Urbanstone also Fremantle Stone have ground pavers, polished pavers and also exposed pavers Da Vinci Outdoor Living Architectural landscaping http://www.davincioutdoor.com Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 6May 30, 2011 9:40 am Yep the fremantlestone "granite" range of pavers are very nice. They are popping up at many of the newer display homes we have seen around Perth. A bit cheaper than exposed aggregate poured concrete too. Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 8May 30, 2011 3:39 pm Well have done ring around today and can't seemed to find what Im looking for freo stone had a 397x397 but the ones I saw yesterday were 300 x 300 I've tried a few places I found 1 place selling them for between 70-100 sqm but that seems very expensive since freo had bigger size for cheaper . Hoping someone else may have used them and let me know where got them from Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 9May 30, 2011 6:32 pm dunno if this helps but the fremantlestone pavers we are considering are 600x300. they are about $70/sqm. The initial quotes we have for good quality exposed aggregate (poured not pavers) were around the $85-$90/sqm. Also, from memory we saw some exposed aggregate pavers on display outside urbanstone on Stirling Hwy in Nedlands. They had some nice colours, but were very course so hard to walk on barefoot (I need to toughen up). Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 10May 30, 2011 6:45 pm I was trying to do pavers cause i thought it would be a bit cheaper then aggregate , and i have seen some aggregate that has faded in spots or cracked so i thought , if there is something wrong with pavers easier to fix then poured( guess though the quality comes down to the pourer and cost). But if the pavers are $70sqm and then you gotta pay for laying it might end up more expensive. Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 11May 30, 2011 6:56 pm True. I will be doing the labour if we end up using pavers, so had not factored that in (I work for peanuts). Swapping pavers is definitely a better option than trying to remove oil stains etc from unsealed rough concrete. From what I've seen you really do get what you pay for with the poured exposed aggregate. Tough choice! Re: Aggregate Pavers for driveway 12May 30, 2011 7:26 pm mmm ill keep looking around got a bit to go before we need them just dont want to leave it to last min , may go back to the display home and see if sales rep knows what they are. Hi Yvonne, try Brikmakers Blokpave Stonewash Collection pavers - Brikmakers is what all the BGC builders use. It comes in a 330 x 330 size. Appreciate that Chippy. I won’t do sand under pavers and will connect all up under pavers, however I was going to do: 1) Roadbase compacted with manual hand tamper 2)… 10 18564 Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up. I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10411 |
