Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 07, 2011 8:12 pm Hi Folks, We had a guy come and lay 35sqm of Sandstone recently in our yard. A few weeks have gone, we've been washing the salts off and now its time to seal them. We visited the shop we got the pavers from, they recommended "Dry Treat" at $72inc. / liter. But not wanting to botch it, we went back to the paving guy who has given us a qoute for $400 sealer + labor + washing. But then we were passing bunnings on the way home, and saw some sealer there ranging from Crommelin @ $13.25 / liter to "U-Look" for $23.50 / liter. So... our question is .... is "Dry Treat" any good ? are we been ripped off ? is it worth buying a cheaper product ? PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY SEALER FROM BUNNINGS Either seal it with your landscaper/Dry-Treat or me...Miteq Dry-Treat is a good product, but if you want to save some money on material with the same sort of performance look at my range of products. We are a Melbourne based manufacturer so look me up and call. It's a lot eaiser to chat over the phone and help than on a forum. Re: Not all sealers created equal ? 3Mar 08, 2011 9:12 am I have used some Crommelins sealers and they seemed ok. I have only sealed Concrete. But after a couple of years they need redoing. I would like a sealer that really sinks into the top layer instead of just coating the top. Seal-a-crete looks interesting but expensive but for that matter so does Dry Treat The acrylic and water based do not seem as strong as solvent based.
