The concreter has built a step (with a drain crate below) leading to the garage with a height that varies between 200 -220mm. The tread can be (as far as I am aware) 220mm. (length of step) If you have other issues then why not share them with us? Making steps are a special trade! If he got it wrong then needs to fix it. 1 step is different, but does have a maximum before you need 2 steps. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Concrete step/stair height? 4Feb 14, 2011 5:24 pm Hello, I have been in the industry for around 15 years and have always done stairs between 175mm an 185mm. 220mm is not even legal. Just be wary of anyone that tells you other wise, even builders. I have had builder tell me that 200mm was fine but refused to do them at that height. The step should not vary in size. I would advise you give him the option to repair it or call the BSA and they can sort it out for you.
