Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jan 07, 2011 8:54 am Hello, I need an advice on the correct paving procedure. I have a two years old house which has a slab on fill, class "M". We are on the side of the hill so my right neighbour is 0.6m higher and my left is 0.5m lower. To the left of the house we have a double built-in garage. There is a 90 cm space between the garage wall and the left boundary fence. Beyond the fence at the left neighbour's property there is a 0.5m drop which is basically a depth of our slab fill at that point. He is constructing a brick retaining wall at his side but only one part is finished and I don't know when he is going to finish the next one. I was thinking to pave a path between the garage wall and the fence. It will be 220x220x40 concrete pavers. What depth of road base and bedding sand should I use ? How to strengthen the fence side ? I was thinking to put 230x115x40 pavers (115mm down) and make a conrete edge. I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$. Internet suggested it should be $85-100/m2 to lay them.… 3 12412 As most others have posted above the install isn't compliant. The pipe is meant to be covered in loose soil or sand, the pipe has holes in it that leaks out a termicide… 10 5730 |
