Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Dec 18, 2010 10:04 pm I have seen a few photos on google and they just look awesome. I am about to renovate a 1980s bathroom, toilet and laundry. I have a few challenges (budget being one!) and the other is that the bathroom needs to be wheelchair accessible. Can concrete vanities be suspended (too heavy?). I would like to have a frameless shower next to the bath and have the bath edged (like a seat) in concrete. (So that my son can have a shower if so required by sitting on the edge of the bath.) I need the bathroom to be very robust - my son is quite the scientist and loves making up experiments. I currently have a white bathroom and I am so over the heavy duty cleaning that it requires from my son and the cats! Can you polish an old 1980s slab? Can you get the right gradient for water for a frameless shower and still have a stable surface if needed you a shower chair? My son will trip over any uneven flooring. Will it be too expensive? Does anyone have any recommendations in Perth? TIA Re: Concrete bathrooms? 2Dec 18, 2010 10:22 pm Yeh bloody good idea... Low maintenance, easy care hard wearing... I'm sending you a PM Where you are coming from is where you are going to... To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9863 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10947 |
