We've had 23sqm of natural sandstone tiles/pavers (Dusty Way from Yeomans) installed on our concrete alfresco. The tiler said we should seal it before they do the grouting so the grout doesn't stain the tiles. Is this right? It doesn't sound right to me. Surely they should be cleaning the grout off the tiles as they go?
Also, what sort of sealer is good for sealing the stone? They are not in a covered area so exposed to the elements. I've been told of Miteq. Can anyone recommend a sealer and should I get the grouting done first?
The company I bought the stone from said to grout before sealing and to seal atleast 2 weeks after the grouting has been done to allow the tiles and grout to cure properly. He said we can then clean the tiles and seal them. Sound right?
Thanks
