Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Nov 05, 2010 8:39 pm We have a concrete slab veranda/ stairs which has what I guess you would call Exposed Aggregate. It has been there since the house was built (30 years ago). It has patches where it has worn back to the concrete and loose stones all over the place. Best way to describe would be it looks like exposed agg but missing most of the concrete mix between stones. Im unsure what would be the best option to go with on this veranda? Try remove all agg with shovel/ chisel/ jackhammer, apply thin concrete/ morter bed etc. etc. Ideally id like to tile in the end. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. Place has it front and back. Front is loose everywhere, and was not waterproofed so theres a few drips in the garage when it rains. Back one is still solid. It is covered from weather so i might just put some cement board on top and tile onto that. I can get a small air jackhammer with a wide blade i think that might be the best option to remove on the front. Thanks. A Sabco spin mop, minimal moisture, not very regularly.
