Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Oct 07, 2010 1:26 pm Hi We are about to put an extension on to our home(a rumpus room and pergola)...the rumpus room will open out onto the pergola (60m2) and I was wondering when they are laying the slab for both, are they able to colour the outdoor area? We where originally thinking we would pave over the concrete but have thought now that maybe a charcoal concrete would be easier and cheaper..... and hopefully look great too. What is everyone opinion? Can it be done? Do you need another layer over the intial slab. Thanks in advance Re: slab for extension and pergola....Can you get it coloure 2Oct 07, 2010 1:43 pm Put simply...yes. You will probably want to have a small step down from the rumpus to the outdoor area anyway so it will easy to put a colour through one section and leave the other plain.
