Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Oct 03, 2010 3:09 pm We have a renovator home which really needs a driveway. We have road base there now as a temporary measure and due to the slope and all the rain we're getting isn't going to last for much longer. We have old concrete paths running the whole length beside where we want our new driveway. It's approximately 22 metres long but the footpath is only about 80cms wide. It's all cracking and really, really ugly. All the guys who've come out keep saying to leave it there and "it won't look too bad" but I'm really resistant on spending $$$ on a new driveway that's just going to looked tacked on next to an already really bad path. I wanted to remove this concrete completely and just have the driveway come all the way to the house. Guys quoting said not to bother as it will cost more money... But money isn't really the issue, I want the space to look good. Someone also suggested just paving over the top of the path instead. Can anyone offer some insights? What would you do?
