Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Sep 17, 2010 10:59 pm Hi All, I am curious about suggestions for concreting over an existing slab. I realise it isn't as good as removing the existing slab and having it relaid, but I can't really afford to have that done. The slab currently has large cracks that divides the entire thing in 4 segments. This actually isn't my main concern though. The big drama I have with it is the edges of the slab. When it was initially laid, I am guessing that they had approx 40 - 50 mm timbers laid maybe 100mm from the edge of the slab down the long sides of the shed. These timbers are now gone (thanks termites), and that means that it is impossible to have anything against the side of the shed and expect it to be level. So, would it be better to have a new pad laid over the existing slab, or would it be possible to fix up levels in the shed some other way. Any help is appreciated.
