Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Sep 12, 2010 4:59 pm We have a suspended outdoor patio in full sun which also forms the roof of the workshop below and must be watertight - it is about 3 x 5M. The support construction is very substantial and is clad with 25mm external plywood upon which a membrane has been laid followed by ceramic tiles - currently it does not leak! The problem is that the tiles have been grouted with a rigid cement grout and the slight flex in the support base means that the grout has cracked and water gets under the tiles and they are "squishy" (good technical term!) when wet.. I have two thoughts: 1) Carefully and painstakingly remove the grout (will need great care not to damage the membrane) and replace the grout with a flexible waterproof variety 2) Remove the tiles and cover the whole deck with welded sheet vinyl floor covering - if such a beast exists for full sun exposure?
