Hi Members ...... hoping someone can help with information!
Just wondering if any fellow HOF members could advise whether costings for bored concrete piers are normally included within the Contract Site Costs or are they included as a Provisional Sum?
If included in the Site Costs, should the builder provide full descriptive details of:
(1) the quantity of piers required
(2) diameter size of piers
(3) pier depth, etc
(4) plan of pier location and layout
We have been charged just over $10,000 within the Site Costs section of the contract and the only details given are:
"Provide bulk concrete bored piers to reach required founding depth as per engineers slab design".....
We thought further details would have been provided. Also if this should be the case, have any members had such engineering information actually included with the plans within the contract ...... and did you actually sign this engineering documentation at the time of contract signing?
Looking forward to your comments.
