I know i like the look of it too - however it will crack and this won't eliminate ants and weeds. I had an extensive amount of poured limestone at one of my properties and won't be having it again. Be sure if you do chose exposed agg, they do lay rio and use expansion joints Follow Feggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Follow lilfeggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37149 Asbestosis Sux! Most have used it on the drive and when it gets older it looks great. Ages wonderfully. Nice colours and contrasts as the finish ages I sub for a chap sometimes who does this and his finishes are very good. (normally does other concrete work) Did a uni as well Looks older but still holds the integrity as well as the day it cured. For Liquid limestone to crack heaps then it was waaaay too wet a mix.( also LAZY) Also, that soft stuff AKA ablfl3x needs to be cut off below the top of the concrete and pushed down into the joint then the joint properly filled with flexible control jointing(caulking compound) that will stop water washing out the sand from underneath and weeds growing through it Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Starting to narrow the list down to about 4 main contenders. Have bypassed the addition of paving at pre start and have delved straight into the exposed aggregate pool! Most if not all are quoting 85m2 that includes poored to 100mm reinforced and finished. Which is pretty good. We were roughly quoted 82m2 for paving from our builder, but won't get the full refund anyway! Think the exposed aggregate looks much better any how.
