Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jul 25, 2010 3:33 pm Hi I am building a new house. Went to a mate house the other day and saw he put a wood/timber pattern stamped concrete for his paved at the side of the house. It looks nice. Would this be suitable for an Alfresco? My planned alfresco is an extension of the house (same roof). At the moment it will be paved. My concern is will this stamped concrete cracked? My Alfresco is a 4x4m in space with opening at 3 ends. One end is linked to the main house via sliding door. The Alfresco would be part of the house as I am planning to put foldable doors at the 3 sides in the future. Any opinion is appreciated. A slab infill may crack. But there are no guarantees - depends on construction (whether the builder details the slab the right way) and how you look after the area around the slab, e.g. over water a surrounding garden the clay underneath (if clay) may swell and crack the slab. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: stamped concrete for Alfresco? 4Jul 26, 2010 8:08 am I would use same material as inside, is it tiled or timber?
