We are thinking of using them as our pathways and also a small courtyard For those who haven't seen them Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ If you have used them in your garden, I would love to see how you've used them and would you recommend them? Re: Boral River Pebble Pavers 3Jul 18, 2010 4:54 pm Hi, According to the Boral Price list, about $19ea for standard unit (408*408) & $22.50 for Side/Corner unit. Units/sqm - Standard 6 Side/Corner 4.8 Actually was @ Boral's Syd clearance yard yesterday & stock there was about 50% less. Got a life, just can't find it! We'll be heading to the Boral Clearance in Melbourne next weekend to have a look. Even at full price, they are just too darn pretty to pass up Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. Love them and it's what I want if the budget can handle them. Re: Boral River Pebble Pavers 6Dec 07, 2010 3:05 am I found a cheaper alternative at Bunnings. Same deal, but these are actual pebbles on a mesh backing, fairly large too. Bought a whole stack, although haven't been able to lay them yet, need to Google what the hell to do They are around maybe 50 - 60 centimetres long by around 30 centimetres wide or so, only $6.00 each. Will take a photo today and post it. A good way to save a few dollars that can be used elsewhere in the garden. Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. Not seeing what they could really look like once laid. Not sure how many we'll need. I might measure up. Do you just place sand/grout stuff b/t them on a solid compacted ground? Re: Boral River Pebble Pavers 9Dec 07, 2010 9:00 pm first two pics in stonework gallery on my website are pebble mesh tiles. These are travertine pebbles glued onto a mesh backing. The pebble mesh tiles come in set square or rectangle or interlocking so there is no visible join from tile to tile. They need to be installed on a concrete base with an adhesive suitable for translucent tiles ie: use a white adhesive suitable for exterior use like Mapai kerra-bond plus in white with an acrylic additive like isolastic. Urbanstone also do a pebble paver but they are expensive Da Vinci Outdoor Living Architectural landscaping http://www.davincioutdoor.com Re: Boral River Pebble Pavers 10Dec 08, 2010 1:04 am Sorry about the photo quality, have them sitting in a wheelbarrow for now. They are a more rustic version, but we are planting a cottage style garden, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Through boral, they have a special mix that they use to lay their river pebble paving, Geofix. http://www.boral.com.au/brochures/ordering/PDF/Boral%20Pebble%20Paving%204pp%20v7.pdf?company=Pavers I honestly haven't a clue how to pave, but with the help of Google, I'm sure I can work it out Dear J.K. I think the ones I saw were quite different to your ones pictured. They weren't wrapped in plastic either. Might have to check them out but might avoid Bunnings so I don't spend anything for a while. Re: Boral River Pebble Pavers 12Dec 08, 2010 4:33 am I too have no idea in how to go about a paving project. Nice link. Helpful. This is all new. I understand the concept and steps involved but it's a task that could take some time with perhaps a few hurdles to jump over. Appreciate that Chippy. I won’t do sand under pavers and will connect all up under pavers, however I was going to do: 1) Roadbase compacted with manual hand tamper 2)… 10 18551 Those span tables can be pushed a little for a low deck if you dont mind a little flex.
