Every time they dig up to join the drains/ downpipes etc... they have found problem with the plumbing. Not using a Ob joint etc... and just recently they found that one of the drains is connected underneath the garage (which is not to plan). We've already settled... just wondering if anyone has experienced this prob and whether it's possible to sought compensation from Builder.... Builder is a large org starting with M. Your builder wont give you compensation, but if it needs to be repaired it should be their responsibility. Are you still under a warranty? Re: Drainage under garage - Anyone experiences this problem? 3Mar 31, 2010 7:09 pm if the landscaper has repaired or replaced damaged or incorectly installed drainage then you have most probaly voided your warranty. At the first sign of problems call the builder, you have warranty insurance, use it Da Vinci Outdoor Living Architectural landscaping http://www.davincioutdoor.com Re: Drainage under garage - Anyone experiences this problem? 4Jun 12, 2021 3:43 am buildingwithhamra What is the problem with having the drain under the garage? It is going to have a 20cm slope front kerb to garage on side and slightly lower on the other side. I read here somewhere your house also had a 20cm fall at the front. Can you please show me a picture of your house to see how it is sitting with that 20cm fall? My builder is asking for another $13k to raise it 20cm with piers. We are confused and donβt know if its worth paying that extra. Could you please share your thoughts on this. Thanks Re: Drainage under garage - Anyone experiences this problem? 5Jun 12, 2021 10:39 am Hey Hardyboyz90 Welcome to the forum A bit more information and photos help, otherwise members are just guessing or don't reply. Also reference other posts where possible, try posting using a better heading, etc,etc Including contours, site plan, geo report, floor plan , engineering is a bonus if they give you access to the details and data/quants? Normally, the salesman conditions you at the start with the possibility of additional site engineering...theses don't become apparent until you hand over money for preparation of their plans (PPA). Most battlers associate trust with engineering and gladly hand over huge sums of money for upgrades unfortunately, that trust isn't transferable to salesman on Big Commi$$ions. OT, I doubt there's 50m3 ($13K) concrete in your entire Build let alone that amount for a deep edge beam and a few piles on the lower side (guessing since we know nothing of your build?) Rough new Build Costs If on the other hand you own your design, Bim and 3D Engineering data and quants then the data and cost are accessible on the net Always Check the Engineering, Data and Quantities yourself and when in doubt have it explained properly before you sign up for the PPA Cheers Chris Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs 2 5800 You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
