Wanting a finish that is easy to keep clean and does not create dust when you sweep it. Builder friend recommends 'granolithic finish' to slab - which is an additional thin layer of concrete, richer in cement. Builder quoting on job says a smooth trowel finish to the slab would be sufficient. I am yet to investigate the cost difference. Would any concrete gurus mind giving me an opinion on this? Re: best finish for slab in proposed garage /workshop ? 4May 30, 2010 4:21 am Im have my garage floor Grinded and poished using a concrete polisher ... it take a few mm off the garage floor and exposes the aggreate (spelling) ... but you end up with a cool looking floor finish that you simply apply a 2 pack clear coat sealer too. Looks great, no more dust..
