Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Mar 02, 2010 8:12 pm I have just bought a H+L package. My question relates to paving (with probably many more to come about other things not paver related). I was under the assumption that to lay pavers flush/next to a house, that you would take the ground down however deep it should be, 150mm?, below the weep/breather holes and the black stuff that goes under your brick walls, just above the slab (flushing?). now am I right in thinking that the pavers would be angled away from the house for dispersing water? The reson I ask is, our landscaper made the pavers too high, ie above/covering these weep holes. behind the house is paved and the pavers are only just covering them. Whereas the same paving around the side of the house is a good inch or two above the weep holes. shouldnt they be the same height all the way around? If you need anymore info or pics please let me know. http://pbckt.com/sc.OU7 - The strip Drain is essentialy flat and came after the paving. Re: Noobie question about paving 3Mar 02, 2010 8:32 pm Oh and they should drop away from the house where possible. Re: Noobie question about paving 4Mar 03, 2010 12:33 am I think what Fu is saying is there should be 'Fall' away from the house. The slab edge should be visible for white ant inspection. If the pavers are above the top of slab edge this is wrong for many reasons see 2 ^^ Where you are coming from is where you are going to...
