Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Sep 02, 2009 9:46 pm hi there, im building a new home, i contacted mentone premix and order the exposed aggregate, and they tell me who can do the driveway for me, what i need to ask, on the both side of my house im planning to do paving and walk path, do i have to do the slap first before i can do the paving / walk path or just leave it as it is ? and also on the backyard, do i have to put slap first before i can do anything to it ( decking, alfresco, etc ) if yes then i am goin to ask the person who gonna do the driveway to slap my side of the house and my backyard as well. thanks Re: Paving - do i have to do the slap first ? 2Sep 02, 2009 11:24 pm /confused Who's slapping who? If you slap someone hard enough, they will do the job for you quick smart. Do you mean slab, as in the house slab? The other landscape works, planting, exposed conc etc can come later otherwise they will be going over the already finished work to do the slabs you need done. Unless access is an issue, you may want to get the backyard ready or do some items before the area is sealed off or inaccessible for machines or wheelbarrows I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$. Internet suggested it should be $85-100/m2 to lay them.… 3 12357 As most others have posted above the install isn't compliant.
