Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Aug 26, 2009 12:44 pm Hi guys, I know this has been posted previously but couldn't find any info to satisfy me. We need approx 105sqm of paving done, we've been looking at just going with regular pavers. Had one quote at $5000 for all the work done & one at $4,300 for just the pavers!. Now im thinking liquid limestone, but what are the pro's & cons of the 2 options?? People keep saying liquid is cheaper in WA, does anyone know as a guesstimate of how much it would be for 105sqm? The process involved and good or bad points for both would be great. thanks Oh i forgot to mention it will need to be able to support the outlaws caravan (don't ask me why they cant just sleep inside like regular guests). Will liquid be strong enough? thanks again Re: Paving in WA, advice please. 2Aug 29, 2009 11:31 pm If it is done right, yes it will handle the van no worries. PM me if you want a contact for this in Perth. Liquid Limestone is way cheaper here than near on all of Australia. We have loads and loads and loads of limestone here Re: Paving in WA, advice please. 3Aug 30, 2009 12:40 am I have just moved into my newly built home and needed to pave about 100sq meters of area as well so i'm pretty close to what you were planning to do. I got a quote for labour (excluding pavers) for about $2000. Was sourcing out pavers at midland bricks and the sales people suggested perhaps buying the non-premium bricks (bricks that have been chipped or have colour variations) to save on the costs. However, the brickpaver said that it is not worth buying those bricks.. i don't know who is right... But yea, i can't believe it costs so much to pave an area! Maybe i should consider liquid limestone too. Good paving is as much an artform as it is a skilled trade/job. Very skilled and labour intensive. Re: Paving in WA, advice please. 5Aug 30, 2009 10:46 pm Misscrow - Yes no trouble handling the weight However, you will end up with rubber tyre marks, unless you keep the sealer up to it Cost is around 60 -70sq mtr but might have site or other considerations. onc_artisan Where you are coming from is where you are going to...
