Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Aug 13, 2009 10:15 pm Hi, B4 I browsed here and found ppl mentioned about a rough cost of $50m2 for plain concrete, $80+@m2 for exposed. Does that price already include excavation, reinforcement, material, labour, cutting, sealing? I just got quoted and i calculated the m2 price seemed much higher than estimated here. For driveway, it is nearly $130@m2 for exposed and $110 for stamped. ( well the garage is maybe 200mm higher than the front boundary) Also, is that the m2 price for driveway will usually be higher because more reinforcement is needed?? thanks v much. nott Re: What does the quote concrete price include? 2Aug 14, 2009 9:31 pm price is always situation dependant i quote a basic sq mtr rate for conc. inc. rock for base, reo, reo chairs, control joint cut, seal the extras are excavation, soil disposal, drainage if needed, pier footings for slab support if needed, conc. pump if needed, hard access may need additional labourers to push barrows etc Da Vinci Outdoor Living Architectural landscaping http://www.davincioutdoor.com Re: What does the quote concrete price include? 4Aug 15, 2009 9:21 pm Hello Nott, We are getting pattened, coloured concrete and have been quoted $54.90m2 including all materials and labor. Not sure why it's so cheap compared to others, we are in a very rural area I would of thought it would have been more expensive??? Each job is sooooo different it's hard to compare but it might pay to just get some other quotes done, no harm in shopping around. Best of luck. Re: What does the quote concrete price include? 5Aug 17, 2009 9:03 pm For exposed it depends on the mix too. Some mixes from Mentone premix for example, can be $200/ cubic metre, yet some mixes with specialised materials or additives can be over double that. They using concrete or timber sleepers?
