Their rates are reasonable and more importantly their work is neat, tidy and very professional. I highly recommend this concreter and he is very easy to deal with, especially if a female has to organise it all... like I did Hi Hels, I am desperate in search for a good concreter. Could you please let me know the contact of your concreter? Thanks. The concreter who did our new cross-over is messy, un-professional and a big liar: left a pile of old concrete on site, concrete runs over the edge here and there, getting narrow in the middle of the cross-over, trying to save material cost? ... Didn't know a simple cross-over could cause such a Nightmare. Re: Prices for concrete???? 64Oct 25, 2012 10:14 am Does anyone know what the average cost is to cut and install a new cross over in Sydney btw Cheers Re: Prices for concrete???? 66Jul 09, 2013 5:16 pm I am also interested in perth prices for the above. Exposed agg is around $65 if I recall correctly. They are not the cheapest though. You can get slightly cheaper, I had a good experience with Wolfcrete, and heard good things about Justin of Perth Exposed Aggregate also. The area is behind the garage and next to the house - extension to the alfresco - whereas the garage is lower then the house by around 700mm. Currently the land has a slope which I will be cutting into and laying a concrete "retaining" wall. The area is all clay. See image to see what I am talking about: The pink area is the new concrete. Top area is a 7.4 x 4.6 and the bottom area is a 2 x 4.6. Then around the water tank will be 2 pads, at 1.6 x 3.3 and 1.6 x 2.1 Out of the many people I have had out to quote, I have only been able to receive 3 quotes (one being an over the phone job as a estimate - and not turning up to actually inspect the area and give a proper quote). The other 2 were quite high and judging prices I have seen from here, unreasonable. As far as I know, I require crushed stone/blue metal, rio, and the concrete. I am covering the concrete so no need to have a 'polished' finish. I cannot bring a concrete mixer truck into the yard because of potential damage to council footpaths, so I will also require a pump. I'll be digging out the required depth myself. What should I be paying for a job like this? Can anyone recommend someone in the Sydney South West region? Thanks. Re: Prices for concrete???? 69Jul 25, 2013 8:49 am Not sure if anyone is reading this, but anyways, the first quote I received was for approx $14000, then the next was $9500, and the latest is $6000. The over the phone estimate was around $12000. There were quite a few that either didn't return my call, or bother to actually send a quote once they had been out to measure. Houda ---- Built the Lincoln 35 at Georges Fair Re: Prices for concrete???? 71Jul 26, 2013 9:05 am At $6000 that's around $115/m2 which includes the drop which apparently is where the concreters justify their price. To me, it's just vertical concrete instead of horizontal lol Houda ---- Built the Lincoln 35 at Georges Fair Re: Prices for concrete???? 72Sep 03, 2013 11:30 am Hello, This is bit too late to ask prbably. Do you still have the contact details of the Concretor in West who quoted you $50/sqmt of color concreting?? If so could you please email his details?? Thanks and Regards, AJ Re: Prices for concrete???? 73Oct 28, 2013 9:35 am sixth-sense can you please PM me the details of the Concretor if you have them. Thanks SB Re: Prices for concrete???? 74Apr 18, 2014 9:03 am Another query here about concrete prices - We have had a quote for 60 square metres of plain concrete. The quote includes labour, materials, excavation and removal of approx 30 square metres of existing concrete. The new concrete will be 100mm thick 25mpa concrete F62 steel reinforcement expansion foam along house and around downpipes provision of drainage down blind side of house. All for $5,500 What attracts me to this concreter is that he is a plumber as well as a concreter but the price seems a little on the low side for all this work. Any comments? PS I'm still waiting on two other quotes.
