Re: Prices for concrete???? 52Oct 02, 2011 2:13 pm Hels If anyone in the S.E of Melbourne wants a referral for a good concreter, please PM me. Re: Prices for concrete???? 53Oct 04, 2011 6:38 am
I'm located in West Side of Melbourne. Sorry - would have liked to help if i was in syd! Is that a cheap price? I am not sure.. we got 1 contact through the builder. Our old site supervisor (he left the company) gave us the contact for the guy who was doing our driveway. We gave him a call and he gave us a quote. The cheaper of the two quotes we called up someone local and they explained that they can do around 50 per sqm. but might be cheaper since our property wouldn't require a bobcat to shovel the dirt. The block was pretty much level as it is. So came back with the price of 5k. I then only realised that GST would have been added and then push the 'REAL' price above 50.. I have read some prices on this forum before, and it does seem a very competitive price. will have to get more quotes though. Again, if anyone can find a competitive price, let me know... If anyone from West Melb wants some concrete done i can give you the number of the guy who quoted it for me. I haven't accepted it but he's willing to meet on site and go through it with you!
I think that's very cheap , I had my driveway done and I chose the cheapest quote. It was a let down, didn't mention sealing so now I have to do it myself and he missed a section next to the garage.. I wouldn't be going through him again, he treated me like I was a stupid girl. I should have gotten the middle quote. Could you pm me your concreter details as I would like to know who you have chosen. Thanks Re: Prices for concrete???? 54May 12, 2012 9:51 pm Need help to budget with concreting after handover with some current prices for 2012. We are in Geelong Vic. Path, plain concrete at side of house rough measurements 22m2 Rear courtyard, we plan to dig it out first. Some sort of nicer looking concrete suggestions welcomed, either stencil, agg, coloured, roughly 50m2. Its a narrow block so access is tight either side of house. How will that impact the job? Can't really help you with prices now as we had ours done about 2 and a half years ago, but the only thing I would do differently is get the concrete coloured through instead of a topping of oxide only, ours now looks a bit patchy but it's gradually "weathering" and looking slightly better. The other thing is get AT LEAST 3 quotes, we were amazed at the difference in what we were quoted. Good Luck, Vid Re: Prices for concrete???? 56May 13, 2012 2:21 pm Im buying concrete $175 per cube - will need about 12 cubes. Just plain 25mpa. I might stencil certain parts after. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9863 |
