We laid our slab last Monday (yay!!), it has an oxide machine trowled in and is going to be our finished floor in most rooms. We were advised by our concreter to seal it prior to doing any work on it just in case anything gets on it and stains ie coffee spilt etc.
So they gave us a number of a concrete/tool supplier that is used by tradies. We went down there and got a water based concrete sealer. Friday we applied two coats and were so happy with the result it looked and felt awesome. We've had some rain in Adelaide so we went this morning to have a look at it and its all white and powdery we at first thought it was the salts in the rain evaporating but giving the dry sections a rub with a finger it starts powdering up as if the sealer is rubbing off! It looks really crappy... Any ideas?
