Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Feb 22, 2009 9:32 pm I am looking for ideas/advice on what to use for our pool surround. We had thought we would use pavers to match the coping but are now wondering about coloured concrete. Any pros and cons? Also I am keen to put in LED lights around the edge, I was thinking of having a strip of wood between the coping and either pavers or concrete. This would cover a conduit that the lights could run in. I just don't trust that LED lights will last the 20 years that the pool will be in the ground

We built a pool 3 years ago and are not happy with how our pavers look now and also the extra work we have had to do to maintain them.
We're definitely going concrete next time. Troy Re: paving or concrete around pool area 3Feb 23, 2009 12:50 pm Thanks for that Troy, I had been under the impression that pavers and concrete would be the same for maintenance.

Some people are willing to take the chance that it may never happen and others find the aesthetics to be more important. Try and spend a bit more on a really good paver and installers and you might find the pavers look just as good and the upkeep may be less......... try and go with what seems to be your gut intsinct and you will come out with the best decision. Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3690 As most others have posted above the install isn't compliant. The pipe is meant to be covered in loose soil or sand, the pipe has holes in it that leaks out a termicide… 10 5730 Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8489 |
