Blog updated, check it out. $65/sqm is very cheap. The mix we chose was over $300/m3. The price we paid is for complete job... excavating, pre-preps, F72, drainage, grate, acid washed, sealed, the lot. From the prices i'd heard for similar jobs, the price seemed competitive. Cheers Chris Re: Exposed Aggregate finished.. top job! 13Feb 05, 2009 9:44 am jembsb $65/sqm is very cheap. The mix we chose was over $300/m3. I think that's where the big difference ******...our mix was $140 per cubic metre which would certainly account for the difference in price...must admit jembsb yours is a very nice color...and some cool photography. And like the redgum/merbau retaining wall and screen. Guess it's worth for others to know that there is a great deal of difference in mix prices. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Exposed Aggregate finished.. top job! 15Feb 05, 2009 1:55 pm [quote]Dunno...but will post some photos hopefully tonight definitely by the weekend. Mine was a "basic" mix (black pebbles, quartz, some browns, in a standard concrete - grey) but I picked it because it would not show up the dirt too much (and is located behind the garage in a "dead" space) and at only a $20/sqm premium over normal concrete I thought it wasn't bad....must be "western suburb" prices.... Mike, Could you provide the details of the guy who did your concreting. I'm looking to get some quotes for my backyard. And I too live in the west Thanks Pap Re: Exposed Aggregate finished.. top job! 16Feb 05, 2009 2:15 pm Hi Mike,

We have now had a few quotes for the exposed aggregate job for our 212sqm backyard. Like Mike & Chris have mentioned before, the pebble mix that you choose can make a huge difference. Also, if you want a lighter colour for your concrete, you'll need to use a mix made out of white cement. This is considerably more expensive than the standard grey mix. We have decided to go with a pebble mix that costs $305 per m3. The best quote that we have got is for $118 per sqm (which is not too different from what Chris had mentioned). Cheers Pap Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up. I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10411 After some ideas on making our patio kid friendly . Currently we have exposed aggregate.
