Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Feb 07, 2007 11:33 am Hi,
I am looking forward to DIY paving. Just wondering, where can i get pavers at a reasonable price? Can I get a decent size (300x300 or greater) bet'n the price range of $15-$25 m2? I am located in Melbourne. Any help is greately appreciated. Regards, NS Re: buying pavers 2Feb 07, 2007 2:17 pm I have just gone down this path (no pun intended) .. not that we are doing it for a while, but we want to put budgets together.
I haven't fully researched but after going to a few different places, the cheapest I found was around $42.00 a square metre!! Apparently there are 2 types of pavers ... concrete or ... something else (can't remember). But the 'something else' is about double the cost! I would also be interested to know if there are places to go (ie. can we go direct to the manufacturer?). It appears that all landscaping suppliers sell Austral or some other product. Would be good if we could go direct and cut out the middle man. We were after larger pavers than the 400x400 that seems to be around. Looking forward to this thread if anybody has any good suggestions. Thanks for asking NS! http://ourdreamhouse.blogspot.com Appreciate that Chippy. I won’t do sand under pavers and will connect all up under pavers, however I was going to do: 1) Roadbase compacted with manual hand tamper 2)… 10 18580 Those span tables can be pushed a little for a low deck if you dont mind a little flex.
