Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Dec 01, 2008 10:31 am Hi,
I am going to start my paving DIY this weekend. Not 100% sure about the weather, the forecast doesn't look too promising. But my wife is urging me to finish it before Xmas. It's time for some actions. Everything is ready, got the pavers (STONEAGE Riverblend $1700 for 200pcs, 400x400 size). The gravel base is done by the guys did my driveway (the quality of the driveway are sh...t BTW, SAM &Sons at Craigieburn, highly not recommended). Got a quote for the sand from Craigieburn Garden Supplies. Less than $100 for 32 sq m x1inch sand and around 5 sqm gravel base. May not be the cheapest. But who cares it's not that much anyway. The compactor can be hired from Bunning at around $50. The only thing left is to find a place for hiring the diamond paver saw. Bunning doesn't provide those for hire. Kennards charge over $200 for one day! And closest one is at Airport West! Can someone recommend a tool hire store at Craigieburn area? Thanks in advance. Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
