Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Nov 13, 2008 12:38 am I have an exposed aggregate underocover patio 6X3mwhich extends out past patio roof to pool. unfortunately with the slope achieved by the concretor, water flows onto the patio with even mild showers or pool splashing. disappointed as i was hoping for a dry entertaining area.
Does anyone have experience or advice on whether exposed aggregate can be cut and which is the best type of drain to use in this situation. It will be possible to run a drain along the pool fence off the patio at the far end. my concretor has offered to cut the concrete but he does not seem clear on which drain to use. this is my first posting but i have so far enjoyed reading info offered by readers of this site regards and thanks in advance for any advice you may have. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=117180 you can get the drains from Bunnings. 3m is about $100. stainless grates are more. Re: cutting concrete and types of drains 3Nov 16, 2008 10:00 am Sure, any concrete can be cut, but the concretor should have had the fall right in the first place, anyway, Reln have a decent array of drains & pits, bunnings carry them (as well as other brands) in 3 or 4 different colours
http://www.reln.com.au/rain-drain-p-2.html Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 10364 Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 6341 |
