Your land size is nearly the same as mine. Very useful information. Re: Paving sand price 4Nov 10, 2008 11:39 pm What! That is very expensive
You can get a trailer load for less than $50! jeeze you could get it delivered for less than what it costs in bags! Gee Whizz! i need a sit down and a cuppa tea after that shock Re: Paving sand price 6Nov 11, 2008 10:55 pm yeah any bulk soil mob. landscape suppliers etc.
Buying soils in bags is to be avoided at all costs for most bigger projects around the home or garden. too expensive Re: Paving sand price 7Nov 12, 2008 3:12 pm tomking.chen Can anyone tell the rough price of paving sand? White Sand (assuming that's paving sand) 1 cubic m $57 3/4 cubic m $42.75 1/2 cubic m $28.50 1/4 cubic m $14.25 mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Paving sand price 9Nov 12, 2008 8:07 pm donuts thanks Mike I wonder how much a cubic metre of sand weighs And could you pass on details of that place pretty please? Would I need my own trailer to pick it up? That might make it un-worthwhile... Most places will deliver and charge accordingly...and charge like wounded bulls. Sand weighs about 1400 to 1800 kg per cubic metre depending on the moisture content...call it 1600 kg...a standard 6' x 4' trailer can carry about 750 kg gross (including it's own weight) so a load of about 400 kg once you take the weight of the trailer off...so about 0.25 cubic metre is all I'd put in...and it does depend on your car. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Paving sand price 10Nov 12, 2008 8:08 pm to_do_list donuts thanks Mike I wonder how much a cubic metre of sand weighs And could you pass on details of that place pretty please? Once I factor in cost of hiring trailer, I might as well buy the bagged stuff I think at about $6 per bag, probably not, but getting it delivered might be cheaper Re: Paving sand price 17Jan 07, 2009 9:30 am Hi Guys,
I am in VIC and here is the price I got from my garden supplier (It's Craigieburn Garden Supplier). I ordered 30 sqm x 1 inch thick sand+5%extra. They charged around $100 Later on I found the bagged sand at Bunning Warehouse Coburg store. It cost around $5 a bag which is 20kg. BTW, I've just finished my first paving DIY project! That was quite a good experience. I will post a new thread with some pics. Stay tuned. I'm putting a new floor in my kitchen, slate flagging on a standard concrete slab. I have allowed for a bed thickness of up to 20mm to accommodate the different… 0 17530 2 4342 2 8853 |
