The same company will be doing my concrete perimeter paths and drive for my new build. I asked him if they use a barrier of some sort between the new path concrete and where it touches the slab. He said they don't use a hard barrier anymore but they paint some sort of protective coating on the side of the slab. I've never heard of this so is this a new idea and does it sound like it would be sufficient protection?
