Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Nov 04, 2022 8:08 pm Hi there, We just bought a house which has a driveway that looks like it was resurfaced with something, probably to cover the cracked concrete underneath. Anyways that something is now crumbling and lifting on places, so it looks terrible. So my question is, does anyone know what the stuff is that's on the driveway? And secondly how can I remove it? The only way to remove it is mechanically. Basically jackhammer and then grind to remove any left over. There are companies that do it if you don't want to hire the machines. The other issue is the actual concrete substrate that is obviously broken. Depending on your long term goal you might be better of to just remove the existing concrete, coating and all and then install new concrete. It will cost you more but will only do the job once. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9870 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10953 How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5958 |
