Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 May 12, 2021 8:23 am Hello! I recently had my old walkway (original 1950’s) removed and new one placed. They kept the steps, moved them aside and made a brand new 4 inch thick slab graded away from the house and then placed the steps on top (as it was originally). However, I have noticed water accumulating in the joint where the walkway and first step meet. It’s always there, rain or no rain and it is wet, not just damp. The concrete guy came and doesn’t know why it’s happening. Can anyone shed any light on this mystery?? Oh, it is now getting worse and running down about 12 inches in a half moon shape .
