Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jan 31, 2021 1:54 pm The front porch of my old Victorian house has some issues...it's concrete that's just painted with paving paint. Some of the concrete (or mortar?) has broken away and it looks like there's just a thin layer of something that's been covered over the concrete underneath. See pics below. I'm in a bit of a quandary as to how to fix this. I know I'll probably need to remove the thin top layer...but if the concrete underneath isn't very good, not sure what to do. I can't tile over it at the moment ($$) and would much prefer to patch or do something myself. I can't use concrete as it needs to be quite a thin layer. I suppose I could get rid of some of the concrete so it's deeper and then re-concrete over the top...is that even viable? Any suggestions greatly appreciated! I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10414 can’t tell from the photo, a tie down rod will be 12mm, is it a steel beam? he should be able to work it out 1 4468 |
